Abstract
In today’s development of Automotive software-based systems, the use of AI plays an important role and is crucial for being competitive in terms of time and costs.
Regardless, whether a certain task is executed by a person or is at least partially performed by an AI agent, there will always be an underlying process defining the quality of the product developed.
Automotive SPICE® is the well-established and reliable method to measure and improve the quality of software and system development processes.
This talk will address the change of a human-centric development to an AI-centric development and the impact on the future revisions of Automotive SPICE®. It will also outline how the fundamental principles of system engineering are embedded in the process assessment model and identify potential gaps arising from the increased use of AI in the modern development of vehicle functions.
