Summary

Greg Gruska is a renowned expert in functional safety and quality management. He currently serves as the Omnex Champion for Functional Safety and is a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Gruska is also an accomplished author, having co-authored over 100 books and papers on topics ranging from multivariate data analysis to risk and quality management. He is the author of “Theory D,” which discusses the teachings of W. Edwards Deming, and the editor and principal author of “Comprehensive Process Control Planning.”

Gruska was a writing member of the MSA, SPC, FMEA, and EFMEA Manual subcommittees of the American Automotive industry’s Supplier Quality Requirements Task Force, part of the international task force governing IATF 16949. Greg was a member of the SAE Functional Safety Committee (J2980)

In addition to his extensive writing and consulting work, Gruska has served as an adjunct professor at Madonna University and has been invited to deliver keynote addresses at international TQM conferences. He is a charter member of the Greater Detroit Deming Study Group and the W.E. Deming Institute.

 

Prior to his work at Omnex, Gruska managed the Quality Engineering Activity at General Motors, providing benchmarking, quality engineering, and statistical support across the company’s divisions, corporate activities, and supplier base. This group was instrumental in developing new technologies and training in areas like statistical process control and design of experiments
